Irving, Texas – February 24, 2022 – The American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) is excited to announcethe registration for an encore presentation of Pipe School 2022 is now open. Due to the success of the hybrid in-person and virtual Pipe School 2022 in Frisco, Texas, the ACPA decided to open the event to a repeat, virtual showing.
The 2022 Pipe School Encore, held online March 8-10, 2022, will consist of many of the same presentations as the first showing – ranging from installation, safety, a virtual plant tour, and environmental and situational considerations. Like before, attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 15 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for every course that is fully attended. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the presenters, other industry personnel, and ACPA members and staff.
Registration for the Encore is $50 per person or $150 for a group (for office locations with 4 or more people). Attendees who previously registered for the in-person Pipe School, along with DOTs and other transportation employees, receive complimentary access to the event. You can register for the event at PipeSchool.org/register.
Pipe School’s in-person event was held January 31 to February 3 in Frisco, Texas. At this annual event, ACPA members, DOTs and other transportation agencies, consulting engineers, subject matter experts, and various industry personnel gathered to discuss, learn, and engage with one another while advancing the concrete pipe industry.
Pipe School 2022’s theme is “Building Sustainable Resilience” and celebrates the concrete pipe industry’s positive impact on a community’s infrastructure, financial state, long-term sustainability, and overall well-being.
“The ACPA’s Pipe School has long been a celebrated industry staple, helping bring together and advance the industry through education, quality, and collaboration,” says Aimee Connerton, ACPA Education Committee Chair and Product Resource Specialist for ACPA member company Rinker Materials. “The ACPA is committed to the industry’s advancement and ensuring all who attend Pipe School and its encore presentation walk away with increased understanding of concrete pipe and the role it plays in our industry.”
The presentations of the Encore are a mix from the various tracks that were offered during the in-person event and will appeal to a wide audience—ranging from DOTs to contractors to concrete pipe producers to design engineers. With its digital format, attendees have the ability to step away from the Encore and re-join as fits with their schedule. This provides flexibility to attendees while allowing them to catch presentations that they are most interested in. The online schedule can be viewed at PipeSchool.org/schedule.
“The ACPA is excited to offer an encore presentation of Pipe School 2022,” says Branimir Kovac, ACPA Chairman of the Board and Vice President of ACPA member company Thompson Pipe Group. “We look forward to continue advancing the superior quality, durability and sustainability of reinforced concrete pipe.”
