Al Hogan, P.E. Announced as ACPA President

ACPA-Headshot-Al-Hogan-1Dallas, TX – October 2026 – The American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) Board of Directors Board of Directors has officially announced the promotion of Al Hogan, P.E. to the role of President. In this role Hogan will oversee the work ahead with the ACPA staff to ensure the continued focus and service to the ACPA Members to the mission and work set forth by the ACPA Board and members. The ACPA extends it’s 120-year commitment to being the leading resource, voice, and advocate for industry stakeholders in the development of long-lasting, resilient, and durable infrastructure that helps build sustainable communities for current and future generations.

Hogan began his ACPA service as a volunteer producer member of the ACPA in 1997 by serving on the Technical Committee and eventually serving under two ACPA Chairs as the Chair of the ACPA Technical Committee. Hogan, also briefly served on the ACPA Board while he was at Sherman Dixie Concrete Industries before joining the ACPA Staff in 2007. Since joining ACPA, Hogan has successfully served as Region Engineer, Vice-President of Field Operations, and since May of this year serving as Interim President. While serving the Southeast Region of our country as Region Engineer Hogan has built strong relationships with many of our key Department of Transportation leaders across the Southeast and beyond. Hogan is known for his honest and straight forward “engineering” approach to problem solving and has become a trusted technical resource to all who cross his path. Our current Board Chair,

Mr. John Rainero, had this to say about Mr. Hogan in his recent announcement to staff:

“We are in a truly fortunate situation that we have not been in in many years in having a president with extensive knowledge of our industry, our membership, our challenges, and our opportunities. We look for Al to guide us into the next chapter of the American Concrete pipe Association and when the time comes, help us transition into new leadership.

I could not think of a better advocate nor a harder worker for our industry to take over the helm as President of the American concrete life Association.”

Hogan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and is a Registered Civil Engineer in Tennessee. Hogan brings over 40 years of engineering and industry experience to the leadership team.
