Registration Open for Pipe School 2022

Back in-person and with a special streaming option for transportation agency personnel

ACPA-Press-Release-Featured-Image-PS22-1Irving, Texas – Irving, Texas – November 17, 2021 – The American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) is excited to announce the opening of registration for Pipe School 2022. Back in-person for 2022, Pipe School will be held January 31 to February 3 in Frisco, Texas. At this annual event, ACPA members, DOTs and other transportation agencies, consulting engineers, subject matter experts, and other industry personnel gather to discuss, learn, and engage with one another while advancing the concrete pipe industry.

The Pipe School 2022 theme is Building Sustainable Resilience and celebrates the concrete pipe industry’s positive impact on a community’s infrastructure, financial state, long-term sustainability, and overall well-being.

“The ACPA’s Pipe School has long been a celebrated industry staple, helping bring together and advance the industry through education, quality, and collaboration,” says Aimee Connerton, ACPA Education Committee Chair and Product Resource Specialist for ACPA member company Rinker Materials. “The ACPA is committed to the industry’s advancement and ensuring all who attend Pipe School walk away with increased understanding of concrete pipe and the role it plays in our industry.”

Pipe School 2022 offers attendees more than 80 courses over four days on topics such as production, quality, engineering, and marketing, along with opportunities to engage with industry stakeholders to ensure they have vital information for their decision-making process. More than 15 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) are available to each attendee.

To meet the needs of transportation agency professionals, Pipe School 2022 has included a special in-person and online streaming Transportation Track dedicated to topics of interest for Departments of Transportation and public agency professionals. For transportation agencies, registration is free for the streaming Transportation Track and scholarships are available to attend the in-person event. This track will cover topics such as research, asset management, resiliency, innovation, accelerated bridge construction, bridge inspection, and revisions/standards and will have presenters from transportation officials from around the country. With this track, transportation professionals can engage virtually have the exclusive option available only to them of attending this year’s Pipe School sessions online.

“The ACPA is excited to resume Pipe School as an in-person event in 2022,” says Branimir Kovac, ACPA Chairman of the Board. “We look forward to continue hosting safe and productive in-person events while following all local COVID-19 protocols.”

In conjunction with Pipe School 2022, the ACPA will host Pipe Show 2022, a three-day event aligning leaders of the concrete pipe industry with vendors and partners. The show, created exclusively for the concrete pipe industry, is open to all Pipe School attendees. Pipe Show 2022 will take place concurrently with Pipe School 2022 at the Embassy Suites in Frisco, Texas, from January 31 to February 2, 2022.
